Healthy Starts
April 2, 6:30pm, 2420 E. 6th St.
In the beginning…there were seeds and cuttings. Join us as we plant them for use in the Longview Garden. Use what you learn to start your own plants – and cut the costs of gardening.

Longview Population Control
Sunday, April 29, 3pm Longview Garden Site– 7th St., 25th Ave. E. and Clover
Our perennials just keep giving and giving…and growing. So we need to keep them at a healthy level. In our first foray into the garden, bring garden tools and be ready to clean up the site and divide the plants.

Pottering (not the Harry type)
Monday, April 30, 6:30pm, 617 Irving Place
The newly divided plants from the garden, plus plants and cuttings started in March will be planted in pots, and readied to grow big and tall for the garden and for our part of the DGFS Plant Sale on May 26. Be part of making a mess that you would never let your kids make!

Duluth Garden Flower Society Annual Plant Sale
Saturday, May 26, 8am – sell out (usually 10am)
14th Ave. E and London Road
There are lots of plant sales, but this is the Grand-mommy of them all. The variety of plants that are successful in this climate is incredible. And all have been tended and coddled by experienced gardeners, who dispense free tips and advice. Longview’s offerings will include a zillion types of perennials, house plants, heirloom and cherry tomatoes and basil.

September in Bloom - Garden stroll
Monday, September 10, 6pm
Start at Longview Garden Site
This is considered the “lull” in the gardening season, with many plants past their prime, and some yet to bloom. But SOMETHING is making our gardens look good. Come and stroll through a few of the neighborhood gardens. And if you have questions about your own garden, we can visit and help with some answers.
